Hamiliton American Legion SF / Ranger Gathering

President John F. Kennedy Wreath Laying Ceremony
October 25, 2017
A ceremony to honor JFK and his commitment to the Green Berets
will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 1200, Arlington
National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Read news report on the

A research study and workshop in helping Veterans share
service-related challenges and experiences through film. Any
Post 9/11 Veteran is welcome to apply. The 40 volunteer
participants will have the chance to work together over the
course of a weekend, supported by talented feature filmmakers,
to direct, shoot and edit short films that express important
aspects of their service experiences.

SF Student From Massachusetts
Dies in Training Accident
September 14, 2017
SSG Alexander P. Dalida, 32, of Dunstable, Massachusetts died
on September 14th during a training exercise at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He
was enrolled in the Special Forces Qualification Course
undergoing training to become an SF Engineer. A Special Forces
Military Commemoration Ceremony (see
obituary) will be held at the John F. Kennedy Memorial
Chapel on Fort Bragg at 1500 on September 26th and burial
will be at Arlington (date to be determined).

NH AG Swearing In Ceremony

BG Dave Mikolaities will be sworn in as the Adjutant General
for New Hampshire at 10:00 in the Executive Council Chambers
adjacent to the Governor's Office on the second floor of the
New Hampshire State House. BG Mikolaities is a former member of
C/1/20th (MA NG).

Green Beret Appalachian Trail
Walk & Fundraiser

In 2017 U.S. SF veterans are hiking the full length of the
Appalachian Trail in relay-team fashion to raise funds to support wounded brothers
and families of those killed in action. One relay team started
in northern Maine and the other at the southern end of the
trail. The two teams plan to meet up in New Jersey on August
21st.

Chapter 54 member Ling Wong took part in this fund raising
effort hiking 60 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Read a

Our Troops.
This organization, based in Stoneham, Massachusetts,
has been supporting deployed members of all branches of the
U.S. military with care-packages from home. In years past
members of Chapter 54 who have deployed have received care
packages from this organization. Donations of support are
critical to the program to pay for the costs of shipping these

The 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson, Colorado is
seeking the names and points of contact for any "Original
Members" (mid-1952 to Nov 1953 era) who joined 10th SFGA at
