Chapter 54 History

Chapter 54 was founded in 1991. Many of the founding members of the chapter originally belonged to Chapter 4 located on Fort Devens, Massachusetts. When the 10th Special Forces Group left Fort Devens and relocated to Fort Carson, Colorado in the early 1990s - Chapter 4 moved with them.

The chapter membership chose to honor LTC William Buckley - a long-time member of the chapter, fellow Special Forces Soldier, and Central Intelligence Agency operative. The chapter was named "The William F. Buckley Memorial Chapter".
