In Memory of
Francis X. Brennan
LTC (Ret) Francis X. Brennan passed away on April 7, 2015 at age 75.
He was a member of Chapter 54 and a life time member of the Special
Forces Association.

Francis was born in 1940. He graduated from Arlington High
School (Massachusetts) where he was a noted athlete.
He graduated from Norwich University in 1964 and was
commissioned in the U.S. Army as an Armor officer. He deployed
to Vietnam three times to include one tour with the 5th Special
Forces Group and Mobile Strike Force.
Following his deployments to Vietnam, he remained in the
Army until he retired in 1986. His last assignment was as the
Deputy Group Commander, 10th Special Forces Group, Fort Devens,
Massachusetts.
He was the recipient of numerous military awards including
two
Silver Stars, four Bronze Stars, three Purple Hearts, and
other awards and decorations.
After retirement from the Army - serving 22 years - he
entered the security field. He then taught college which was
followed with another career change - that of Department
Chairperson of the Criminal Justice Program at Marian Court
College.
On May 32, 2018 he was honored at the groundbreaking
ceremony of Norwich University's new Bi-Centennial granite
stairway that marks the university's 200th anniversary. Norwich
University is located in Northfield, Vermont. He has been
referred to as "Norwich University's most decorated Vietnam
veteran".
