Jerome O. Burr
Jerry Burr passed away age age 76 on September 6, 2021. He was a member of Chapter 54 of the Special Forces Association. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965. After completing Special Forces training he was assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group. He then served two tours in Vietnam while assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, and Air Medal. Upon leaving the service he joined the Hartford Police Department and later became a Constable for the City of Springfield. He was a resident of Ludlow, Massachusetts.
