RIP Henry Nilan. Chapter member Hank Nilan passed away in December 2021.

Gregory Biron: Newly-Minted Green Beret. An October 2021 graduate of the Special Forces Qualification Course is the son of Chapter member SGM (Ret) Dave Biron.  Greg is an 18E assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group. The chapter has donated his SFA Life Membership.

RIP Phyllis Nazzaro. The wife of Dick Nazzaro, Chapter 54 member, passed away on December 25, 2021. Obituary.

RIP Henry Nilan. SGM (Ret.) Hank Nilan passed away on November 30, 2021.

New Chapter Quartermaster. Bob Delponte is assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Chapter Quartermaster.  He will be responsible for the maintaining of chapter goods for sale (hats, shirts, coins, etc.). These items will be available for purchase a future chapter events.

RIP Jerome Burr. Jerry passed away on September 6, 2021 at age 76. He served with the 7th Special Forces Group. He then served with the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam.

MSG Gordon Ceremony. Members of Chapter 54 attended the unveiling of the Memorial Statue for MSG Gary Gordon in Lincoln, Maine on August 30th. More than three hundred people attended including over 50 Green Berets from the New England area. In addition to Chapter 54, members of Chapter 72 (NH) and the Maine Special Forces Annex were in attendance. MSG Gordon was killed in Somalia and was the recipient of the Medal of Honor.

Visit with SF Legend - Pat Flynn. This past summer Kevin Paicos and Bill Fanaras shared some bourbon with a former Green Beret on his 97th birthday. 

Donation to Fishing with Warriors. In July 2021 Chapter 54 made a $500 donation to a local veterans nonprofit charity organization. Fishing with Warriors seeks to help brave men and women of all branches of the armed forces experience the joy, passion and spirit of high caliber trophy fishing events and activities at no cost to them. The donation was made in the name of Chapter 54 Denny Drewry.

RIP Bill Brown. A Chapter 54 member passed away on June 11, 2021. Master Sgt. (Ret.) William Owen Brown was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army and served with MACV-SOG in Vietnam.

RIP Joe Plourde. The chapter received news that Joseph Plourde, a long-time member of Chapter 54, passed away in June 2020. He had been living in Oakboro, North Carolina.

Chapter 54 Business Meeting. Chapter officers and members of the executive board held a virtual meeting on May 10th on Zoom to discuss future events, the treasurer's report, and other chapter issues and businesses.
