Chapter 54 Members John Fitzgerald, Bernie Wilensky, Kevin
Paicos, Denny Drewry, Dick Nazzaro, and John Costello met at
the LTC William F. Buckley Memorial in Stoneham, MA
on Saturday, 11 November 2017, at 1111 hours to
commemorate the memory of LTC Buckley and his service as a
Special Forces and CIA Officer.
LTC William Buckley was assassinated on 3 June 1985 - while in the custody of the
Hezbollah.
At the time he was serving as the CIA's Beirut Station Chief.
He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery and is commemorated on the CIA Memorial Wall at the
Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia.
The SFA Massachusetts Chapter 54 is named in honor of LTC
Buckley.
