Annual Cookout 2026The Chapter 54 Annual Cookout will be on Saturday, August 22,2026, Devens, MA Community Center. This is located at the former Fort Devens, Massachusetts. Cookout will be a NE style lobster bake (with alternate steak menu), salads, strawberry shortcake desert, beer, and soft drinks. There is no charge for the cookout thanks to the generosity of 4 Seasons Firearms, the official sponsor of the cookout. Date. Saturday, July 26, 2025. Arrival 1130, Food 1300. Location. Directions. From Boston take Route 2 west to exit 106B (Jackson Road) to Devens. From south shore take Route 128 (95) or Route 495 to Route 2 west. From north shore take either Route 2A from Route 495 or Route 2 West from Route 128 or Route 495. Devens Community Map Hotels. There are two hotels on Devens. Springhill Suites by Marriott Hilton Garden Inn Musuem. There is a musum on post and there may be the opportunity to visit this venue. Registration. There is requirement for registration to allow for the caterer to meet the requirements for food and supplies in a timely manner. Send your intent to attend by email to the Chapter president. The Shotgun raffle will be held at the cookout. This always raised a considerable amount of funds for the chapter's yearly activities. The Chapter 54 Scholarships and Rudy Szegda Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to deserving students pursuing higher education.
