In Memory of
Frank D. Shaw
Frank Shaw passed away on December 10, 2025 at age 87. For
many years Frank served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 11th Special Forces Group at Fort
Devens, Massachusetts. He served as a Special Forces "A"
Detachment Team Sergeant and as a Company Sergeant Major. Frank
was a member of Chapter 54 (Boston), Special Forces
Association.

Frank was born in South Boston, Massachusetts. He would
later live in Medford, Massachusetts. Once retired, he was a
resident of Lyman, New Hampshire for over 20 years.
Frank attended Boston Technical High School and would later get
a degree in mechanical engineering leading to work as a
draftsman. In 1974, he changed careers and entered law
enforcement. His first job was as a policeman with the
Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) and later with the
Massachusetts State Police - retiring in 1992.
His Army career began as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne
Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He then joined the U.S.
Army Reserves serving with Company A, 1st Battalion, 11th
Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Devens, Massachusetts.
In his later years, after retirement with the Army, Frank served as a "good will” Army
paratrooper. He jumped with more than 20 foreign military
units in Europe, Asia, and both North and South America.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at the
St. Rose of Lima Church at 77 Clay Street, Littleton, NH 03561.
Burial will follow at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery with
Military Honors.
