Henry J. Nilan Jr.
SGM (Ret.) Hank Nilan passed away at age 86 on November 30, 2021. He was a member of Chapter 54 of the Special Forces Association. Hank was a long-time member of the 11th Special Forces Group based in Massachusetts at Fort Devens.
His obituary states that:
"Henry was a larger than life personality who spoke his mind with ease and readily stood his ground. Firm yet fair. Love of family first and foremost, God and country."
Hank was the long-time Team Sergeant of SFODA-114, 11th Special Forces Group during the 1970s and later the Company A, 1st Battalion, 11th Special Forces Group Sergeant Major. Hank was the Chapter 54 Member of the Year in 2017.
