In Memory of
Kevin Francis Feeney
Kevin Feeney passed away on January 1, 2025. He was a member of
Chapter 54 of the Special Forces Association. Kevin was born on
April 10, 1949 in San Francisco, California and grew up in New
Hampshire.
Kevin enlisted in the United States Army on September 10, 1968.
He served with the 5th Special Forces Group in Vietnam as a
Special Forces Medic on Detachment A-322 in
Katum, Northern Tay
Ninh Province. It was a border surveillance camp located
just slightly more than 4 kilometers south of the Cambodian
border. He is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal for his
service in Vietnam.
He left active duty and served with the 11th Special Forces
Group (USAR) at Fort Devens, Massachusetts, and later with the
20th Special Forces Group (NG). He retired as a Master Sergeant
after finishing out his career as an AGR with the Massachusetts
Army National Guard.
Kevin was also a full-time staff member and program director of the YMCA in
Goffstown, New Hampshire for a number of years, and would later
serve as a member of the Advisory Board. He was known to be
very physically fit and an ardent outdoorsman. He was a
resident of Goffstown, New Hampshire.
Obituary
A "Celebration of Life" will be held with full military honors later
in the spring of 2025.
